Celebrate #CreditUnionGood Around the World and Right at Home
On October 17, we’ll join credit unions around the world to celebrate the 76th annual International Credit Union Day. The global credit union movement is now more than 403 million members strong, and they are served by more than 82,000 credit unions in 98 countries.
Credit unions exist to serve their members, not to make a profit. Every member counts, including those of modest means, and every member has equal ownership of their credit union. This “people-first” philosophy drives credit unions and their employees to get involved in their communities and support causes that bring about positive and healthy change for everyone. International Credit Union Day is an opportunity to commemorate the relationships credit unions build with their members and communities, and a time to look toward the future and new possibilities.
