Scholarship Winners

We support the educational aspirations of members with scholarships that further their educational goals and help prepare them to be the future leaders, professionals, and business people of our community. In fact, since our first scholarship in 1963, we’ve given out over $256,000 in scholarship funds to our members!

For the 2024/2025 academic year, scholarships totaling $11,000 were awarded to seven Fibre Federal and TLC members. In addition to the $2,000 Jim Stacie Memorial Scholarship, named in memory of a past Board Chairman, we awarded six $1,500 scholarships.

Congratulations to 2024/2025 Scholarship Recipients:

$2,000 Jim Stacie Memorial Scholarship winner:

• Julia Hallowell: Currently attending the University of Washington School of Medicine, pursuing her goal of becoming a physician.

$1,500 Scholarship winners:

• Darby McCleary: Graduating from Astoria Senior High School, and planning to attend the University of Oregon to pursue child therapy.
• Kynsi Bayes: Graduating from Castle Rock High School and Lower Columbia College, and planning to attend California State University Long Beach with a major in engineering.
• Ailie Jimenez: Graduating from Three Rivers Christian School, and planning to attend the University of Washington nursing program.
• Sahara McPoland: Graduating from Woodland High School, and planning to attend California State Polytechnic University to pursue anesthesiology.
• Molly Lindstrom: Graduating from Astoria Senior High School, and planning to attend Illinois Wesleyan University with a major in fine arts.
• Benjamin Ross: Graduating from Seton Catholic College Preparatory High School and Lower Columbia College, and planning to attend University of Oxford with a major in philosophy and modern languages.
